Seminole County turned 100 years old on April 25, 2013! This centennial benchmark was commemorated as “Seminole Celebrates – A Century of Success” with a 100-day celebration that began January 16, 2013, and concluded with a community-wide “Centennial Festival” on April 20, 2013.
“Seminole Celebrates” highlighted five of our county’s “Points of Pride”, and was designed to celebrate our heritage while embracing our future. Collaboration among the business community, faith-based organizations, art and historical societies, civic groups, and educational institutions provided our residents with numerous fun family oriented events and activities over the 100 days of celebration.
