The Administrative Branch directly supports the missions of the Fire Department and coordinates all non-emergency response activities within the Fire Department. The responsibilities of the Administrative Branch include, but are not limited to:
· Provides administrative support for all Human Resource Activities, including Payroll, Benefits, and the Workers Compensation Program.
· Provides centralized budget management of Fire Department funds, including development and management of the Fire Department’s operating and capital budget, along with the management of Purchasing, Contract Administration and Grants Management, and the EMS Transport Billing Program.
· This Branch handles the approval of all requests for purchase and repair of all safety equipment, SCFD vehicles, office equipment, firefighter clothing, firefighting supplies and equipment.
· Acts as liaison for the department in legal matters.
